Rotary Club of South Hilo will be celebrating its 10th Hilo Huli from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on May 4 on Coconut Island.
The Hilo Huli is the biggest fundraising event the Rotary Club of South Hilo puts on annually.
“Every year, the Rotary Club of South Hilo features the cuisine of local chefs as well as bringing together beer and wine vendors to create an all you can eat and drink event that helps raise much needed funds to support our local community. It’s a fantastic way to have a really great time and uplift the life of our community,” said event chairman Jack Stevenson.
This year’s event will feature more than 20 food stations, a large array of premium beer and wine selections as well as a martini tasting, MC J.E. Orozco and featured musical guest, Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Mark Yamanaka.
The money raised from this year’s event will help the Rotary Club of South Hilo support a variety of community projects throughout East Hawaii including the Primary Care Physician Training Program and Hospice of Hilo’s Children’s Bereavement Program.
“We’re so grateful for all the work the Rotary Club of South Hilo does to make sure our community is a great place to live and we are so honored to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the Hilo Huli,” said Hospice of Hilo CEO Brenda S. Ho.
Tickets for the event are $45 in advance and $65 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased from Uncle Billy’s General Store, The Most Irresistible Shop in Hilo, any Rotary Club of South Hilo member, www.hilohuli.com or contact Jack Stevenson at 635-3649.
